Vijay Raaz Acquitted After 4 Years in Sexual Harassment Case from Sherni Set

Now, after nearly four years, a court in Maharashtra has acquitted him in the case. The court said the prosecution did not provide enough strong evidence to prove the charges. It was also noted that the police did not record statements from two or three hotel staff members mentioned by the complainant. Because of this, the court gave Vijay Raaz the benefit of doubt.

The court further stated that the CCTV footage seized by the police did not clearly show any wrongdoing by the actor. Also, the verbal statements given by the prosecution were not enough for a conviction.
Vijay Raaz’s lawyer said the actor had to leave his film shoot midway due to the case and also lost work after the incident. With this verdict, the court has cleared him of all charges in the 2020 case.
