Anjali Anand On TV Stereotypes
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Anjali Anand shares an anecdote about the stereotypes faced by TV actors in Bollywood. She says, “Mujhe kal hi kisi ne pucha ki yeh joh TV ka stereotype joh logo pe lag jaata hai toh unko movies me chance nahi milega, yeh stereotype maine khud pe kabhi lagne hi nahi diya. Agar aap sochte ho ki main TV ki queen hu, movies me jaaungi toh bhi queen treatment milega, nahi, agar aap ek cheez se dusre cheez pe jaaoge toh aapko fir se shuru karna padega.”
She continued, “Agar kal aap crime journalist ban gaaye toh aapko start se shuru karna padega, toh you must again learn here also, you cannot hope ki log aarti ki thali lekar khade hai waiting for you. So a lot of people tell me, ‘Aree tumne Ranveer ke saath kam kar liya ab, Deepika ke saath kab karegi?’ Aisa thodi hai ki Deepika kadhi hai thali leke ki mere saath picture karni hi hai. There is no limit to what I wanna do, I only don’t know where I’m gonna go, what I’m gonna do, it’s left to the universe, and I will grasp whatever opportunity I get.”
