Responding with humour, he said, “Because what happens is that she is a very easy target. That is how I feel… Ek fame ka you have to pay the price,” implying that she gets unfair blame easily.

Shahi emphasised that Rupali is a major star in the TV industry, comparable to Smriti Irani, and pointed out that her name alone draws significant attention and viewership. He also reflected on the nature of working on daily soaps, stating, “Nobody is perfect. Everyone has good and bad qualities. There are both love and disagreements while doing a daily soap.”

Addressing Paras Kalnawat’s surprising exit, which had made headlines and was linked to alleged conflicts with Rupali Ganguly, Shahi commented, “A lot of water flows below the bridge. He is a kid.” He added that in the industry, lasting friendships or enmities are rare, and many issues are fueled by heated moments. Rajan even suggested that Paras and Rupali might reconcile and become friends in the future.

When asked in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla if Gaurav left due to personal conflicts, Shahi clarified, “He or anyone who would have played his character would not have thought of quitting the show midway due to personal grudges.” Regarding the sudden storyline change involving Gaurav Khanna’s character, Anuj Kapadia, rumours suggested a fallout with Rupali Ganguly.
