Drishyam 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer continues with steady third Tuesday collections

The Abhishek Pathak directorial Drishyam 2 has maintained a successful run at the box office on its third Tuesday, in terms of collections. The film starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna continued to remain steady with its third Tuesday collections. Drishyam 2, that released theatrically on November 18, has made total collections of 187 crore nett, at the box office.

The crime-thriller made a collection of 2.50 crore nett on the third Tuesday. After a massive collection of 10 crore nett on the third Sunday, Drishyam 2 saw a drop on the third Monday. However, despite other releases, the movie has maintained a successful run at the box office. Although the films Bhediya and An Action Hero released in theatres, one and two weeks respectively after the Ajay Devgn starrer, Drishyam 2 has remained steady with the collections.

With the collections of the third week, the Abhishek Pathak directorial is looking forward to end the third week with a total of 33 crore nett. A Box Office India report said that third Tuesday collections, “takes its (Drishyam 2) second week total to 27 crore nett and the week is looking to end at 33 crore nett. The film has so far collected 187 crore nett in total.”

As per the report, the third week collections of the Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Tabu starrer will be only behind Dangal, PK, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, Uri – The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh if we count outright Hindi films. The report said that Drishyam 2 will be the sixth highest third of all time, if only original Hindi films would be counted. The Abhishek Pathak directorial is expected to cross the box office numbers of Sooryavanshi over the weekend, leaving Brahmastra ahead of it in 2022.

Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 also stars Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav in key roles.
