Jaat Box Office Day 1: Sunny Deol Starrer Emerges As Fourth Highest Opener Of 2025 After Chhaava And Sikandar

Sunny Deol’s latest pan-India action entertainer, Jaat, was released at the box office today. The movie marks Sunny’s second successful big screen outing after Gadar. With Day 1 box office collection, Sunny Deol’s Jaat created 2 records.

On it’s opening day, Jaat has recorded net collection of Rs 9.62 crores with an overall 12.89% Hindi occupancy. With this collection, the movie has missed double digit opening by some margin. However, it can be called a decent performance as Jaat has created 2 records. It has emerged as Sunny’s second biggest opener after Gadar 2 which earned 40.10 crores.

Apart from this, Jaat stands as 4^th biggest opener of 2025. It comes after Sky Force (15.30 crores), Sikandar (27.50 crores) and Chhaava (33.10 crores). Talking about Jaat’s future at the BO, it has the potential to rake in good collection due to long holidays of Baisakhi, followed by Ambedkar Jayanti on Monday.

About Jaat

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is produced by People Media Factory and Mythri Movie Makers. The film also stars Saiyammi Kher, Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Singh. Bollywood Bubble gave Jaat 4 stars. A part of the review read, “Jaat is a throwback to old-school action dramas with solid performances and a rustic setting. While not groundbreaking, it’s a decent entertainer for fans of the genre. Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda carry the film, making it worth a watch for their fans. Overall, Gopichand Malineni‘s Jaat may not reinvent the genre, but it delivers a solid dose of action and emotion, powered by its stellar leads.”

On the work front, Sunny has Border 2 with Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh. He also has Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 which also stars Preity Zinta. Apart from this, he also has Ramayana in his kitty.
