Kajol’s mythological horror film Maa is doing well at the box office even after six days of release. The film was recently named the highest-grossing female-led movie of 2024 so far. Despite a small drop in earnings on its sixth day, Maa is close to reaching the Rs 25 crore mark.

Directed by Vishal Furia, Maa had a strong start. It earned Rs4.65 crore on Friday, Rs6 crore on Saturday, and Rs7 crore on Sunday. On Monday, it made Rs 2.5 crore, which increased to Rs 2.85 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it saw a small dip and collected Rs 1.75 crore.
So far, the film’s total collection is Rs 24.90 crore. This not only makes it the top female-led movie of the year but also marks Kajol’s biggest solo hit in her 30-year-long career. The steady earnings show that audiences are enjoying the film and spreading positive word of mouth.
