sean diddy combs, convicted,

A former federal prosecutor doubts that the jury in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs s*x tr*fficking case will convict the music mogul of the most serious charge — the r*cketeering conspiracy. Neama Rahmani believes the jury will find it difficult to establish proof of force, fraud, or coercion, which are necessary for such a conviction.

Ex-Prosecutor Claims Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Is Unlikely To Be Convicted In S*x Trafficking Trial

The former prosecutor stated, “The jury will struggle to find proof of force, fraud or coercion, needed for a conviction in such cases.” He noted that the defence lawyers presented a strong argument, asserting that everything between Combs and another individual was consensual and that no one was forced or deceived. Of the five charges against the rapper, the jury has reached verdicts on 4: 2 counts of s*x tr*fficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, they remain deadlocked on the racketeering conspiracy charge, which could result in a lifetime prison sentence, according to PEOPLE.

Verdict To Come Soon

As reported by the BBC, the jury couldn’t agree on the r*cketeering charge because some jurors remained firm in their opinions. This comes even after Judge Arun Subramanian urged them to reach a unanimous decision. Referring to the July 4 holiday, Mr. Rahmani commented, “Never underestimate the power of a three-day weekend.” This suggests a verdict could come soon.

Diddy’s Case

Over the past two months, the jury has heard testimony from 34 witnesses. It included federal agents, male escorts, former girlfriends, and former employees of Combs. Earlier, Combs’ former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, claimed she received $20 million as part of a settlement. She accused him of ab*se and misconduct, alleging that he regularly got her dr*gged and int*xicated.

Ms. Ventura testified that Combs forced her to have s*xual encounters with male prostitutes, which he referred to as “Freak Off” sessions. She also claimed that he took control of her finances, medical care, and singing career. And that he repeatedly beat and raped her. During the proceedings, a 2016 video was shown to the jury. It depicts Combs chasing and assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel lobby. She stated that the attack occurred when she attempted to leave a Freak Off session.
