EXCLUSIVE: Aaditi S Pohankar Reveals 3 Female ADs Cried Bitterly During R*pe Scene Shoot; Confesses, “I Didn’t Have An Intimacy Director For Aashram 3”

Aaditi Pohankar is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi and Tamil films and web series. She had her breakthrough role alongside Riteish Deshmukh in the Marathi action film Lai Bhaari (2014). She gained wider attention for her roles in the Hindi web series She and Aashram (both 2020–present). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Aaditi S Pohankar speaks about filming intimate scenes in Bobby Deol’s Aashram series and how well the director handled a tough situation.

Aaditi S Pohankar Opens Up On Shooting Intimate Scenes In Bobby Deol’s Aashram

When asked about shooting intimacy scenes in Bobby Deol’s Aashram, Aaditi S Pohankar said, “So I remember there was one scene where Pammi realises that she’s been r*ped and there’s this blood on all over. I was like, ‘What is this kind of blood? Are you mad?’ They said it should be noticed. I said, ‘Okay’. Kya toh ye karte hai and I went and I looked in the mirror and I cried and suddenly there was a ‘Cut’ and I was like, ‘What happened?’ Because I was in the space, I was in the zone. Baahar teen ADs ro rahi thi zor zor se, toh sound ke wajah se cut karna pada.”

She continued, “I was like, ‘Man, what have I touched with these girls? (Sounds a bit off here) I don’t know their story, I don’t know what’s happened to them. Can you believe it? And I was like, I only took a moment, I said, ‘You guys calm down then we’ll continue.’ And Prakash Sir, who is a good director, understood the pulse of that moment ki yaha pe ho kya raha hai. Unko samajh mein aya ki ho kya raha hai. And then they carried on with this scene. I didn’t have an intimacy director; my director was my director throughout. And I trust them completely. That’s why I could do these scenes.”

Aaditi S Pohankar Recalls Working With Imitiaz Ali

Aaditi recalls meeting Imitiaz Ali and mentioning that she is a shy person. She said,“Imtiaz Sir ke saath maine pehli hi bola tha that I am a very shy person. So you see, I don’t know what I will do. I don’t know, maybe what if I can’t do this? And he said, ‘I am there no, you do, I am there, and that’s it.’ Those few words from him were enough for me, and I finished that whole shoot. So, every time now I am telling everybody that I want to do comedy, I want to do romance, I want to do I want to explore all areas of life. You know ki mein ek he tarike se baat nahi karna chahti hoon mein ek he emotion ko he bar bar nahi dharana chahti hoon. I want to take a break from that now and then come back maybe.”
