Abhishek Kumar On Bond With Samarth Jurel

When asked about his bond with Samarth Jurel post his breakup with Isha Malviya, Abhishek Kumar responds to whether the breakup affects their friendship, “Kuch nahi hua, sab cheezein bahut normal hain. Pata nahi logon ko news chahiye hoti hai, toh zabardasti ki news ban jaati hai. Wo unfollow wali news aayi thi bhai, humne kabhi ek dusre ko follow hi nahi kiya, toh unfollow kahaan se karenge? Maine sab jagah bol diya, ‘Suno bhai, humne kabhi follow hi nahi kiya ek dusre ko.'”

He added, “Bahut normal hai. Even usne mujhe birthday pe wish bhi kiya tha. Usne gaana bhi dekha tha. Usko ye bhi pata tha ki main ye show kar raha hoon. Toh agar usko bhi aata toh wo bhi karta hi na yaar? Kaam ko kaun mana karta hai? Aur ache kaam ko kaun mana karta hai? Kitna bada show hai—Sonali (Bendre) ma’am host hain, aur itne bade-bade artists hain jinhe humne pehle se dekha hua hai. Unke saath feature hone ka mauka mila, toh ye kitni badi baat hai.”

What Happened Between Isha, Abhishek And Samarth?

Samarth Jurel and Abhishek Kumar first grabbed headlines for their rivalry on Bigg Boss 17. It was a conflict that later transformed into an unexpected friendship. Their equation often revolved around actress Isha Malviya, who had dated Kumar during their time on Udaariyaan before moving on with Jurel. This led to a love triangle that played out dramatically on national television.

Tensions peaked on the show when Kumar slapped Jurel during a heated argument. This resulted in Kumar’s temporary eviction before the makers brought him back. Surprisingly, once the show ended, the two buried the hatchet and developed a close bond. Jurel even described Kumar as “like a brother” in interviews. They went on to appear together as partners on the reality cooking series Laughter Chefs 2.

Unfollowing Controversy

In August 2025, speculation about a fresh fallout arose after the two unfollowed each other on Instagram, coinciding with Kumar’s reunion with ex-girlfriend Isha Malviya for a music video. However, Kumar quickly dismissed the rumours. He clarified that their friendship remained strong and that they had never followed each other on the platform.
