EXCLUSIVE: Ali Fazal Recalls Khamoshiyan Makers Handed Him A ‘Tun-Tuna’ For NO Reason; Calls THIS Co-Star A Better Guitarist Compared To Him

Ali Fazal is an actor who works primarily in Hindi films and TV series. He made his screen debut with a small role in the film The Other End of the Line (2008) before appearing in the TV miniseries Bollywood Hero (2009). He had his first Hindi film release with a supporting role in 3 Idiots (2009), and went on to star in Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011), Baat Ban Gayi (2013), and Bobby Jasoos (2014). Greater success came for his roles in the comedies Fukrey (2013), Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016), and Fukrey Returns (2017). In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Ali Fazal revealed how Aditya Roy Kapur is a better guitarist than him.

Ali Fazal On Playing A Guitarist In Metro…In Dino

When asked about how life comes full circle, of him playing a musician in Metro…In Dino, Ali Fazal said, “So we can say that—when in doubt, they just hand me a tun-tuna, right? That’s exactly what happened in Fukrey. I remember we were shooting a song for the film Khamoshiyan, and something just wasn’t working—it felt empty.”

He added, “And then someone said, ‘Ali, yeh guitar pakad le.’ So there’s a part in one of the songs in Khamoshiyan where I’m holding a freaking guitar, and I’m not even a guitar player! I think Aditya is a better guitar player; Aditya apne Metro..In Dino wala. But I like learning. I can learn. I can learn anything.”

Aditya Roy Kapur and Ali Fazal will both be seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino. Ali was last seen in Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life. He will be seen in Raktbrahmand alongside Aditya. This is a Netflix series being developed by Raj & DK. They are known for their work on The Family Man and Farzi.
