Anjini Dhawan is an actress who has already made a notable impact in Bollywood with her debut film Binny and Family in 2024. Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the film industry, Anjini is the niece of David Dhawan and cousin to actor Varun Dhawan. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Anjini Dhawan reveals her favourite films with Varun Dhawan and explains what it would be like to play part of them.

Anjini Dhawan Reveals Her Favourite Films Of Brother Varun Dhawan

When asked about her favourite film of Varun Dhawan, Ajini Dhawan said, “When Student of the Year realised we were kids, man. We thought that film was crazy. So, we were in seventh grade when the film was released. And I was like the coolest person ever because my brother was in the movie.”

Speaking about if she were to be cast in Varun’s films, she said, “I think Badlapur is a movie I love. I have the same feelings for it, and the song ‘Jeena Jeena.’ Yeah, I love that film. I think it’s definitely one of his best films and one of my favorites of his. But also, I love Main Tera Hero, Humpty, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. I’m thinking of all the films I like Humpty, Badrinath. I think a Kavya part is really fun.”

Student Of The Year

Student of the Year was a 2012 teen sports romantic comedy film. It was directed by Karan Johar, written by Rensil D’Silva and Niranjan Iyengar and produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment. The film features debutantes Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Also seen were Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Sahil Anand, Ram Kapoor, and Farida Jalal. The music was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, and the cinematographers were Ayananka Bose and Deepa Bhatia.

Badlapur

Badlapur is a 2015 neo-noir action thriller film. It was directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla under Maddock Films and Eros International. Based on the novel Death’s Dark Abyss by Italian writer Massimo Carlotto. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Also present were Huma Qureshi, Vinay Pathak, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in supporting roles.
