EXCLUSIVE: Anukalp Goswami States Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Does Not Promote Cheating; Justifies, “Yaha Aadmi Dhoka Nahi De Raha…”

Director Anukalp Goswami opens up about the creative choices behind Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, particularly the decision to portray women from different religions. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, he explains that featuring four girls from the same background would make the characters feel repetitive. Anukalp Goswami JUSTIFIES Polygamy, Cheating On-Screen

When asked why the narrative of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 had girls from different religions, director Anukalp Goswami said, “Jab aise films mein chaar ladkiyaan hoti hain, aur agar sab ek hi religion ki hoti, toh characters ek jaise lagne lagte. Isliye humne socha ki different religions rakhte hain, taaki chaaron ladkiyon ke characters alag dikhein, alag culture, alag background, alag speaking styles se relate kar sakein. Kahani bhi tabhi zyada interesting hoti hai.”

Speaking of how the film justifies cheating on their partners or being in a polygamous relationship, Anukalp Goswami said, “Yeh story cheating ki nahi hai. Yahan aadmi dhokha nahi de raha. Balki kuch aise situations aati hain jahan ek ladki ki zindagi bachane ke liye usse shaadi karni pad jaati hai, kyunki us waqt agar shaadi nahi hoti toh ladki jaan de deti. Toh kahin bhi woh character negative ya cheating wala nahi ban raha.”

Anukalp On How The Sequel Is Different

When asked how the sequel is different, Anukalp said, “Iss film mein aur pehli film mein ek common cheez hai — ladka kabhi ladkiyon ko cheat nahi kar raha. Woh haalaaton mein phas jaata hai. Uski shaadi ho jaati hai galat waqt pe, aur sabki jaan bachane ke liye woh ek-doosre se jhooth bolta rehta hai. Yeh ek imaandaar aadmi ki kahani hai jo apne pyaar ke liye teen alag-alag dharm kaise nibhaata hai — aur kaise chhoti-chhoti mistakes se comedy create hoti hai. Kahte hain na ‘Comedy of Errors’, wohi ismein dekhne ko milega.”
