Anup Soni REACTS To Media Insensitively Covering ‘Laado’ Pratyusha Banerjee’s Death

When asked about the media covering late Pratyusha Banerjee’s death insensitively for clickbait, Anup Soni said, “See, main bhi uske saath touch mein nahi tha, matlab aise regular touch mein nahi tha, kyunki hum dost toh the hi nahi. Age gap bhi tha na. Lekin jab tak saath mein kaam kar rahe the, we were very cordial to each other. Aur mujhe yaad hai, main usse life ke baare mein bahut advice deta tha — kaise cheezein manage karein, kaise apne actor status ko handle karein, kaam kaise karein, integrity kya hoti hai, aur kaam ke prati sincerity kya hoti hai. Jo gyaan main baant sakta tha, wo sab main usse share karta tha.”

He continued, “Lunch time mein milte the, sab saath baithte the, aur bahut gappe maarta tha hum log — bahut. In fact, uska birthday tha, aur show chhodne ke baad bhi main ek birthday pe gaya tha usse milne. Lekin meri knowledge mein aisa kuch nahi tha ki koi aisi baat hui ho jiski wajah se ye sab hua. Jaise aapne kaha, mujhe bhi bahut dukh hua tha, main bhi bahut dukhi tha aur bura laga tha. Ek young ladki, itna bright future, itni shorat, sab kuch tha uske paas. Aur dekho, jab wo aayi thi, tab chhoti Avika bahut popular thi. Log kehte the, ‘Arre nahi nahi, log Avika ko bhool nahi paayenge.’ Lekin logon ne Avika ko bhi yaadh rakha, aur use bhi yaadh rakha. Par yeh bahut hi sad incident tha, yaar.”
