In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Babil Khan shares an anecdote about being called a star kid. He says, “I think if you want to call me a star kid, then you should’ve gone… what was Baba’s box office like, you know what I mean? You’re saying all this now, but if it really mattered, then why didn’t you all buy tickets and go watch his films? How much did Paan Singh make? Twenty crores? Thirty crores? Why didn’t it make a hundred crores? I mean, I could get slammed for saying this, but somehow, I said it anyway.”

On The Work Front

On the work front, Babil Khan is building a promising career with a mix of meaningful and experimental projects. He is set to star in Logout, a cyber-thriller releasing on ZEE5 on April 18, 2025, where he plays a social media influencer caught in a digital nightmare. He’s also featuring in the Indo-American short film Yakshi alongside Anna Ben, exploring Indian folklore through a modern lens. Babil recently appeared in The Railway Men, a gripping series based on the Bhopal gas tragedy, and the coming-of-age film Friday Night Plan. His debut in Qala was widely praised, and with each project, he continues to carry forward the legacy of his father, the late Irrfan Khan, while establishing a distinct voice of his own.
