Donal Bisht Talks About AI Is Boon

Actress Donal Bisht, who has impressed audiences with her strong performances in projects like Tu Zakhm Hai and continues to receive immense love from fans, is now being considered for major Bollywood films such as Laal Singh Chaddha and Ramayana. Known for her intelligence and grace, Donal recently shared her thoughts on one of the most concerning issues of today — the rise of AI-generated fake videos and their misuse online.

Donal Bisht On The Rise of AI Is Boon

Speaking about the dual nature of technology, Donal expressed to Bollywood Bubble, “I think AI coming into the picture is a very good thing  it is a boon to society. So many things have become simple because of AI. Tasks that once took hours or even days can now be done in seconds. AI is very helpful in terms of business; office work has become much easier.”

However, the actress also raised serious concerns about the misuse of this technology. “In terms of social media, fake videos & pictures, even my mother sometimes asks me — when did you wear this dress or where is this photo from? Because the general public don’t realise what’s real and what’s fake,” Donal explained.

She further added, “The line between real and fake is blurring. The more AI-generated fake videos we see, the more reality will fade away.”

Emphasising the need for regulation, she said, “There should be a government tap or watermark to identify AI-generated content. Most people don’t understand technology they can’t tell what’s real. This can be misused in dangerous ways, especially against women.”

Citing examples, she mentioned, “Even celebrities like Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan had to go to the Supreme Court to protect their images, but what about common people? They don’t even know where to go or what to do.”

Donal also highlighted how technology can empower scammers if left unchecked. She said, “It’s becoming very concerning because scams are increasing too. Everyone has a different mindset — some people use technology positively, while others use it to cheat and manipulate. Those with a criminal mindset can easily misuse AI to trap people or scam them. That’s why there must be strong monitoring and action and government should tap into it, because we never know how far this can go in the future.”

Donal concluded with a strong warning, “If this continues, in the next five to ten years, the line between reality and illusion may completely disappear.”
