Behzaad Khan On Why Republic Day Is Closest To His Heart

Behzaad Khan states that his earliest memories of Republic Day take him back to his school days, when he had the honour of leading the school band. He recalls that the discipline, pride, and responsibility he felt while marching with the tricolour left a lasting impression on him and strengthened his connection with the country from a very young age.

He adds that even today, despite his hectic shooting schedules, he makes it a point to be present for flag hoisting ceremonies, whether at his residential complex or on the sets he is working on. According to him, Republic Day beautifully represents Unity in Diversity, which he believes is the true strength and soul of India.

Behzaad Khan adds more by saying that after Independence Day, Republic Day holds a very special place in his heart. The day fills him with gratitude, love, and immense pride for the nation. He expresses that it is a moment to remember the countless sacrifices made by freedom fighters who laid down their lives so that India could emerge as a strong and sovereign republic.

The actor further states that Republic Day serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, loyalty, and determination of those who fought against British rule and later framed the Constitution of India. He believes that the rights and freedoms Indians enjoy today are the result of their relentless efforts and sacrifices, which should always be respected and honoured.
