Shivam Khajuria, who is winning massive praise for his role as Prem in Star Plus’ top-rated show Anupamaa, is celebrating Children’s Day by taking a warm trip down memory lane. Known for his sincerity and strong screen presence, Shivam opens up about the cartoons, dreams, and life lessons that shaped him into the person and actor he is today.
Shivam Khajuria Goes Down Memory Lanes, Reveals Favourite Childhood Shows
Talking about his favourite childhood shows, Shivam Khajuria says he loved several classics. He shared, “Tom and Jerry was number one. I also enjoyed Bob the Builder, Noddy and Ben 10.” Even today, cartoons make a comeback in his life thanks to his nephew and niece. With a laugh he reveals, “My niece watches Peppa Pig and my nephew watches Chota Bheem, so I end up watching them too.” He adds, “Sometimes I enjoy it, but I don’t watch them alone.”
Before acting, Shivam had very different dreams. He shares, “As a child, I wanted to become a cricketer or a fighter pilot.” he Though he was good at cricket, he realised it wasn’t his passion. He says with a smile, “If I wasn’t an actor, I think I would have been a pilot.’
Shivam Reveals Childhood Sundays Were Full Of Cricket & Chole Bhature
Shivam Khajuria also shares the two lessons from his childhood that continue to guide him in the industry today. “Be fearless and be honest,” he states firmly. He believes both values have helped him survive the pressures of showbiz. “This industry can make you fear a lot of things, so taking risks is important. And honesty – first with yourself and then with others – helps build trust.”
His fondest memory, he says, is playing in the rain with the neighbourhood kids. “We would run, fall, slide in the water, play football and cricket – no fear of getting dirty,” he recalls. Sundays were extra special with cricket matches followed by lassi, chole bhature, and long afternoon naps.
