EXCLUSIVE: Chitrangda Singh REACTS To Rumours Of Heroines Being Insecure In Doing Multi-Starrer Films Like Housefull 5; Says, “It Might Sound Fake But…”

Chitrangda Singh is an actress who works primarily in Hindi films. She made her acting debut with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2005). Singh is known for her appearance in Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011), Desi Boyz (2011) and I, Me Aur Main (2013), Baazaar (2018), Bob Biswas (2021) and Gaslight (2023). She turned producer with Soorma (2018). Singh has since appeared in the series Modern Love Mumbai (2022) and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (2025). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Chitrangda Singh clarified that despite being a multi-starrer, Housefull 5 had 5 leading heroines who worked without any rivalry.

When asked about working in a multi-starrer film franchise like Housefull 5, there is a notion that heroines can’t work together, Chitrangda Singh said, “It wasn’t like that, actually. I mean, I know it might sound fake, but honestly, everyone really got along with each other. I think everyone was very secure. All the people on set had done so much work that I feel everybody was quite confident and secure in themselves. I mean—Abhishek, Akshay, Riteish, Shreyas, Johnny Sir, Nargis.”

She added, “I think Nargis is one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met. She’s such a warm, lovely, and genuine person. Even Jacqueline has done so much work. And Sonam, you know, comes with a lot of experience from Punjab and from here as well. So I think everybody was very secure and very happy with the characters they were playing. There was a lot of clarity. Everyone got along really well. There was nothing like that (negativity), and honestly, I have no masala to give you, there’s nothing at all!”

Also seen will be Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, and Shreyas Talpade.

Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir will be part. The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 5 released in cinemas worldwide on June 6, 2025.
