EXCLUSIVE: Court Kacheri Actor Ashish Verma Praises ‘Outsider’ Shah Rukh Khan; Clearly States, “Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt Aren’t Successful Because Of Family”

Actor Ashish Verma, known for his work in Court Kacheri and many strong performances, recently shared his views on the ongoing debate around nepotism in the film industry. He gave a simple but honest opinion. Ashish said that nepotism isn’t just found in films; it exists in every industry. He explained that filmmaking is an expensive process, and people from film families often get an easier start.

Ashish Verma On Nepotism In Bollywood

According to Ashish, real success depends on talent and hard work. He pointed out that actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt may come from film families, but they are popular because they are genuinely good at what they do. At the same time, he praised Shah Rukh Khan as the perfect example of an outsider who became a superstar purely on talent and dedication. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ashish said, “Nepotism exists in every industry; it’s not limited to films. Filmmaking is a very expensive medium; someone from a film family might get a beginner’s advantage and easier access to people who matter. But ultimately, it’s the audience that decides. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, they are not successful because they come from film families; they’re successful because they are good at what they do. And there’s no better example than Shah Rukh Khan, who came in as an ‘outsider’ and went on to be universally loved because of his talent and hard work. We also have incredible actors like Rajkummar Rao, Jaideep Ahlawat, and many more who have made a name purely through the strength of their talent, not because of where they come from.”

Ashish believes that while nepotism gives some people a head start, it’s the audience who decides who stays. Talent, passion, and perseverance matter the most in the long run.
