EXCLUSIVE: Director Vishal Furia Opens Up About Possibilities Of Creating A Horror Universe After Chhorii; Reveals He Would Expand The Franchise With Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh & More!

Chhorii director Vishal Furia has opened up about the exciting possibility of creating a horror universe in Indian cinema. Known for his chilling storytelling, Furia revealed he would not create a horror universe for now but would like to expand the Chhorii franchise and connect it with new stories and characters.

Vishal Furia Wants To Collaborate With THESE Bollywood Actors And Actresses

On being asked about his thoughts on creating a horror universe, in conversation with Bollywood Bubble, he said, “Currently no; right now I just want to make a franchise, so I have no plans to expand the horror universe. So it’s not a universe; it’s a franchise universe when multiple franchises come together in terms of a blend to make a universe. But as of now, I don’t have any plan.”

He expressed interest in collaborating with popular Bollywood actors and actresses to bring fresh energy and wider appeal to the genre. Furia believes Indian horror needs a boost, and a shared universe could give it that much-needed push. In addition, he expressed his wish to cast Bollywood stars and said,“There are so many interesting actors, and I wish I could get them into the horror genre space. I would wish to work with Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal and Ajay Devgn. If all of these actors start looking at horror or thriller in a certain way, and if I could collaborate with them, it would be great.”

He hinted at future projects where strong performances and layered narratives meet horror, creating a unique cinematic experience.
