EXCLUSIVE: Manoj Bajpayee on not working with Anurag Kashyap for a decade; “Usko meri zaroorat nahi thi jab mera career down tha”

Although the actor is well known for his professional front amongst his fans, Manoj Bajpayee has also been in the public eye because of his personal rift with Anurag Kashyap. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor spoke candidly about the same.

Manoj Bajpayee opens up on his rift with Anurag Kashyap

When asked about his rift with director Anurag Kashyap, The Family Man actor opened up about it. The actor said, “There was a misunderstanding about one thing, and we didn’t talk about it. Now it has become so big on social media that sometimes when embarrassment occurs, things are exaggerated. We didn’t talk because I felt, he wasn’t making films of my type, and he also felt that there was no need for Manoj Bajpayee right now because his career was going down. So both of us were enjoying our lives separately, he didn’t need me, and I didn’t need him.”

Manoj Bajpayee further shared insights from the sets of Veer Zaara. Manoj worked with Anurag Kashyap together in Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur and Gangs of Wasseypur 2. Fans have been waiting for the two to come together again to work on more interesting films. He opened up on working with Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta.
