EXCLUSIVE: Naqiyah Haji Opens Up On Party Animals With Viraj Ghelani; Says, “It’s A Desi Version Of The Hangover Meets 21 Jump Street”

From playing a doctor to stepping into the shoes of a carefree party girl, actress Naqiyah Haji is ready to surprise audiences with a whole new avatar in Party Animals. Featuring Viraj Ghelani opposite her, the youthful entertainer promises a fun-filled ride packed with humour, chaos, and unpredictable twists.

Describing the film as “a desi version of The Hangover meets 21 Jump Street,” Naqiyah believes the movie captures the kind of madness and fun that today’s generation, especially Gen Z, will instantly connect with.

“Party Animals is a young, youthful film. It’s fun, chaotic, and something I think today’s generation will really relate to,” she shares.

In the film, Naqiyah plays Sakshi, a spirited party girl who lives in the moment and embraces life on her own terms. The role marks a refreshing departure from her recent portrayal of Dr. Nats in Heartbeats Season 2, streaming on Prime Video and MX Player. As Dr. Nats, Naqiyah explored a deeply emotional side of acting, portraying a character dealing with childhood abuse, its impact on her mental health, and alcohol addiction. With Sakshi, she switches gears to portray a carefree young woman who loves to party and live life to the fullest.

“Playing Sakshi has been a lot of fun because I’ve jumped directly from playing a doctor to playing this completely different party girl. It’s been a fun, challenging, and exciting experience as an actor, and I’m really looking forward to people seeing this side of me on screen,” she says speaking to Bollywood Bubble.
