EXCLUSIVE: Hansika Pareek Reveals It Was Her Childhood Dream To Work With Arijit Singh; Singer Recalls Memories Of Recording Azaad Song Ajeeb O Gareeb

Hansika Pareek is a 23-year-old vocalist, singer, songwriter, and composer who made a remarkable mark in the Indian music industry. Grounded in Hindustani Classical music and holding a Sangeet Visharad qualification, she has rapidly gained recognition for her talent. In February 2024, Hansika was named RADAR India artist of the month and was featured on a Times Square Billboard.

In exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Hansika Pareek revealed that she was unaware of singing the song Ajeeb O Gareeb alongside her childhood idol Arijit Singh for the film Azaad.

Hansika Pareek Reveals Her Favourite Bollywood Singers

When asked who her favourite Bollywood artist is in the current generation, Hansika said, “Meri favourite is Shilpa Rao. I like her voice a lot. Unhone bhi proper music sikha hai jo sunke pata chalta hai. Plus unke jo ghazals hai woh mujhe bahut pasand.”

Revealing who is her favourite male singer, Parekh said, “Arijit Singh is my favourite.” When asked which song of his is her favourite, she replied, “It will be difficult, but Tere Liya Dill mujhe pasand hai.”

Hansika Pareek On Not Knowing Azaad Song Was With Arijit Singh

When asked about her song for Azaad, Hansika said, “Maine Amit sir ke saath 2 se 3 shows kiye hai. Toh unhone mujhe bulaya tha apne studio mein gaana record karne ke liye. At that time, Arijit Singh sir wahan pe nahi the koi aur unki voice dub kar raha tha.”

She added, “1 to 1.5 months ke baad mujhe song ke sirf tags dikhe the tab mujhe pata chala ki yeh gaana mere voice mein aaraha hai. Aur woh Arijit Singh ke saath aaraha tha. Main unse mil toh nahi paaye during recording sessions. Recording hone ke baad it went for dubbing. Yeh mera sapna tha, main bachpan se Arijit Singh ko sunti aaye hoon.”
