Hrishikesh Pandey Reveals If TV Actors Face Pay Disparity In Bollywood

When asked if TV actors get the same respect, if there is pay disparity in Bollywood for them, Hrishikesh Pandey said, “Nahi, woh hai, definitely hai aur rahega. Dekhiye, har field mein jaayein, medical mein jaayein, politics mein jaayein aur jiski territory hai, jiski field hai, woh apni jo aane wali generation ke log hain, unko chance milega. Aapko woh saari cheezein tod ke, woh bandhan saare hata ke aage nikalna padega. And that is always the case in every scenario. Yahan pe bhi aisa hi hai ki jo already hai wahan, woh toh hai hi.”

The actor added, “Aapko apni jagah banani padti hai. Aur mujhe lagta hai ki har aadmi ki jagah yahan pe hai. Toh, you know, you can go on. Aur rahi baat respect ki, toh jitna pyaar hum logon ko milta hai, main matlab you know, shabdon mein bayaan nahi kar sakta. All over India and anywhere, CID is a show where you know it’s with family. Aur woh bhi families mein aisa nahi hai ki sirf bachche hi dekh rahe hain, ya budhe dekh rahe hain, ya jawan dekh rahe hain. You can sit with the whole family and watch the show together.”

About Pay Disparity In The TV Industry

It is a significant development in gender equality in entertainment. Historical pay gaps persist in the industry, and pay is often determined by experience, talent, and commercial viability. While women are making strides in the industry, especially on TV and OTT platforms, the industry continues to be a male-dominated space.
