EXCLUSIVE: Jackie Shroff To Be The Villain In Shah Rukh Khan’s King

Veteran actor Jackie Shroff is well known for his rugged charm and versatile performances. With over four decades, he has starred in over 200 films across multiple languages. From iconic roles in Hero and Ram Lakhan recent character-driven performances. Now, he is all set to be a villain in Shah Rukh Khan’s King.

Shah Rukh Khan will play a skilled assassin who seeks revenge after a tragic event changes his daughter Suhana’s life. The story is being compared to the Bollywood film Bichhoo and the Hollywood classic Leon: The Professional.

As per Bollywood Bubble sources, “Jackie Shroff is set to take on the role of the main antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated film King. The film has been generating significant buzz for bringing SRK back in a gritty action avatar, and will mark the first time the two iconic actors face off in a full-fledged good-versus-evil showdown on the big screen.”

Filming for King is set to begin on May 18, 2025, in Mumbai. The movie is expected to hit theatres in late 2026. King is said to be an action-packed drama featuring Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor and Abhay Verma. Deepika Padukone is also expected to appear in a special role as Suhana’s mother and Shah Rukh’s former lover.

The last time Jackie and Shah Rukh shared screen space in a notable way was in Devdas, which was released in 2002, where Shroff played Chunni Babu. Their reunion with King, this time as adversaries, promises fireworks.

King is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Productions. While official announcements regarding the cast and plot are yet to be made, the pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Shroff — both legends in their own right — has already ignited excitement among fans.
