In the world of Bollywood, tightly bound contracts and getting replaced overnight for a role are quite a common occurrence. Jasmine Bhasin, who has made a mark with her roles in Tashan-e-Ishq and Dil Se Dil Tak, in an exclusive chat admits that she is cool with being replaced for a role and won’t have a problem with it.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Jasmine Bhasin shares an anecdote about being cool with being replaced for a role. She says, “This is life. It’s part of your job. Yes, you have to fight, you have to thrive, you have to struggle. It’s not easy. We are all caught in a rat race. Aaj aap show kar rahe ho, kal aap overnight replace ho sakte ho. But there’s no need to hold a grudge in your heart. It’s all a game of numbers. Maybe the numbers aren’t coming, maybe you aren’t delivering what was expected, so you’ll be changed. We are a commodity and that’s fine, we get paid for it.”

She added, “The real problem arises when we get emotionally hurt. But we need to understand that no one is replacing us or removing us from a show just to hurt us emotionally. If your casting is getting changed, it’s probably because they feel their production will be better with someone else. That’s their perspective, so we don’t need to fall into the blame game.”

She concluded with, “I’ve always been very cool about these things because I truly believe this is a part of the profession. It’s not like you get a letter saying, ‘Now you’ve got this show for the next four years and you’ll get paid this much, go enjoy your life.’ No, that’s not how it works. This is not life. Life is tough, it’s tricky, and this is it.”

Jasmin Bhasin is known for playing the character of Twinkle Taneja in the television series Tashan-e-Ishq. She also gained recognition for her roles in Dil Se Dil Tak, playing Teni Bhanushali, and Naagin 4 as Nayantara. In addition to her TV roles, she has also made appearances in Punjabi films like Honeymoon and Ardaas 3.
