Jasmine Bhasin has always been hardworking and loves to work for long hours. However, working for such long hours and the industry overall can stress a person out and damage their mental health. In an exclusive interview, Jasmin shares an anecdote about how actors can keep their mental health in check and admits having traumas and being depressed.
Jasmine Bhasin On Mental Health
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Jasmine Bhasin talks about dealing with being depressed and how to take care of your mental health. She says, “I think mental health is the most important thing because if your mental health isn’t right, you won’t be able to focus on your physical health either. And trust me, health is wealth. That is the bottom line of life. Your mental health is your own responsibility because if you want to succeed professionally and live a good personal life, you have to take care of your mental health yourself. No one on set will come and tell you, “Oh, let me do something for you, you be happy.” Instead, there will be problems and difficulties.”
She added, “But if you’re in a good mental state, you’ll handle situations better, both in your personal life and work. And trust me, we don’t place our issues on others. I also have traumas, issues, depression, and everything. Sometimes these things can trigger, I understand. But using them as a shield all the time to face situations isn’t right. Sometimes, I also get triggered, I have my moments. But if you keep using it as your guard all the time, you’ll become a coward who doesn’t want to face life.”
She continued, “If you want to succeed in life, both professionally and personally, don’t be a coward. Face it, talk to your mind. If you think your mind is tricking you, question it and find answers. It really helps, it has helped me. It is your own responsibility to take care of your mental health.”
She concluded, “If I were to hand you the power to decide whether I’m happy or upset, you’d take 10 seconds to mess with my mind, right? But I don’t give you that power. I won’t let you take me that far.”
