Some of her best-known films include Baazigar (1993), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kajol revealed that fights with her kids happened at the dining table and talked about motherhood.

Kajol On Motherhood And Journey

When asked about motherhood, learning things from others and the journey, Kajol said, “Absolutely. Lots of times, I think the fact that I’m patient surprises me. I’m a very opinionated person, and to change my opinion, you would need to debate with me and convince me that what you’re saying and thinking is right. I think the real surprise came when my children could do that to me without saying too much, just one line or one look, and they made me realise, ‘No, you were wrong.'”

She added, “And that was a big deal for me. It suddenly shook me. I turned around and realised that those parts of me surprised me, the fact that I could learn from just that. I’m used to it now, but the part of me that turned around and learned from my children, in small, small ways, that part stayed with me. I don’t believe I’m being arrogant when I say I’m a good mother. But yes, to be a better person, sometimes I have become a better person because my children have taught me how to be better. (sis)”

Kajol Recalls Fighting With Daughter Nysa On The Dining Table

She added, “So many times there have been instances where, you know, sometimes I look back and especially when it comes to food. Let me tell you, most of the fights between me and my kids have happened at the dining table. So yes, at the dining table, there have been so many arguments. But at one point, I realised, Nysa looked at me and said, ‘Mom, just relax. I know what I’m doing, and I’ll eat when I’m hungry.'”

Concluding, the actress said, “And I looked at her and thought, yes, she will eat when she’s hungry. She’s lived in a boarding school, gone to London. And she’s still alive and doing fine. She’s happy, she’s thriving, so clearly, she’s done something right. She must be eating when she’s hungry, or whatever. So I needed to calm down about it, you know? And as an adult, she will have to learn, and she will somewhere, somehow. So that’s that. I’ve learned a lot at the dining table. A lot.”
