Konkona Sen Sharma is often seen in horror-thrillers like Ek Thi Daayan and The Naina Murder Case. While promoting her recent series, the actress sat for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble. Konkona Sen Sharma On Doing Thriller Genres
When asked about her doing thriller genre often in Bollywood, Konkona Sen Sharma said, “Nahi, maine toh aisa role pehle nahi kiya hai, actually cop ka role hi nahi kiya hai. I think ek cameo kiya tha jahaan main ek pregnant police officer ka role play kar rahi thi, Akira (Sonakshi Sinha’s action film) mein, many, many years ago.”
Speaking about her horror film, the actress said, “Ek Thi Daayan, yes, that’s a horror. It’s thrilling in that way. I really enjoyed it because it’s engaging and deals with the darker side of human emotions and human behaviour. Mujhe woh aspect bahut fascinating lagta hai. Aur iss baar toh mujhe laga tha, iska joh original Danish show hai, the OG one Forbrydelsen, bahut saal pehle aaya tha woh maine dekha tha. It was a really good show and I really enjoyed that. So this time, I was working again with Rohan, I’ve worked with him before, a long time back, so there was a certain comfort, and I was excited to take this on. I found it very engaging!”
About Ek Thi Daayan
Ek Thi Daayan was a 2013 Indian Hindi-language supernatural horror thriller film directed by Kannan Iyer. It was adapted from the short story Mobius Trips by Mukul Sharma. The film starred Emraan Hashmi, Huma Qureshi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Kalki Koechlin. The film was co-produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Vishal Bhardwaj and Rekha Bhardwaj.
