Kuldeep Sareen Reveals The Film He Step Back Didn’t Performed Well At The Box Office
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, speaking about his journey, Kuldeep shared an emotional turning point that tested his resilience in the industry.
He said, “I was very happy when that film was offered to me after a series of auditions. I was to be seen playing the lead. But then one day, the filmmaker came to me and said, ‘Sir, yeh film aapko chhodni padegi.’ He had found a financier who could have bagged a bigger actor. So for the filmmaker, it could have been a big opportunity so just out of friendship and his well-being, I had to step away. I was asked to leave the film overnight.”
Despite the disappointment, Sareen looks back at the experience with maturity and perspective. He added, “That was the first and last time something like that happened to me. But destiny had its plans. That film didn’t do well eventually, so maybe it was for the best.”
Over the years, Sareen has built a solid career with standout roles in Black and White, Kaanchi, Sehar, Talaash, Phas Gaye Re Obama, Don, Saand Ki Aankh, and digital hits like Delhi Crime Season 2, and TVF’s Guri Aur Dhairya Ki Love Story. Now, with Chhorii 2, he’s diving into the horror genre with fresh energy. Kuldeep plays a crucial antagonist, a role he calls “integral to the fear and suspense” of the film.
