EXCLUSIVE: ‘Maan’ Suvansh Dhar Reveals Career Plans Post Campus Beats 6, Shares, “I Want To Explore All Genres, To Be A Full Package”

There’s a certain ease with which Suvansh Dhar held his space in Campus Beats 6, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Now that the show has turned out to be successful, the actor – who played a gay character named Maan, has exclusively spoken to Bollywood Bubble about the kind of roles he hopes to play.

During our interaction, the young actor got candid about not tying himself down to one kind of genre and wanting to experiment. He opened up about wanting to pick parts that feel honest, and also slowly figure out what challenges him the most as a performer. Read on to know all he said.

While talking about what’s next for him, Suvansh Dhar stated that he doesn’t want to limit himself to one genre. Talking about constantly challenging himself and exploring different characters, he shared, “I, as an actor, believe that you should challenge yourself in terms of whatever you do. Also, I personally feel that I would love to do characters that are layered and written with a lot of honesty.”

Talking about the genres he wants to be a part of, the actor added that he is open to playing a wide range of roles – be it comic, tragic or negative. He said, “I’m not saying that I won’t do negative characters. I would even love to do negative characters because such roles also have layers in them.” He further added, “I also want to do romantic parts, psychological thrillers, and murder mysteries. I have not done comedy yet, so I wish to experience that as well. I want to explore all kinds of genres.”

At the same time, the ‘Campus Beat 6’ actor also expressed interest in continuing youth-centric stories while he relates to them at this stage of his life.

Suvansh: I Just Want To Be A Full Package

When asked about experimenting with intense or emotional roles, the actor admitted that he is still in a learning phase. He shared, “I’m not in the position to choose. I just want to work more on good scripts.” He concluded by saying, “I just want to be a full package,” highlighting his desire to evolve as a versatile performer.
