EXCLUSIVE: Mimoh Chakraborty Recalls Being Removed From A Film Just Before 2 Days Of Shoot; Says, “Mujhe Call Aaya Ki…”

Mahaakshay Chakraborty, also known as Mimoh Chakraborty and Mimoh, is an actor who works in Hindi films and series. He is the son of actors Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali. He is best known for his roles in Haunted 3d and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mimoh Chakraborty recalls being asked to leave a role in a film just 2 days before the shooting.

Mimoh Chakraborty Reveals Asked To Leave Film 2 Days Before Shooting

When asked about that one rejection that hurt him the most, Mimoh Chakraborty said, “There was this one film, with respect, I cannot name the director or the film. But I was signed for this film, even my dad was there. This was before my birthday, a couple of days before, so it was like a birthday gift to me. So, I was very excited, unhone office mein humlogo ko bulaaya and marine sign kiya. I got the cheque for the signing amount sab hogaya. The shoot was after a month, shoot ke do din pehele mujhe call aaya ki hum logo ne decide kiya ki hum aapko isme nahi lenge.”

He added, “Just without any reason. Khudhi bulakar sign kiya aur khudhi fir nikaal diya mujhe. Toh abhi now I was going to the gym, I was in that zone and suddenly didn’t mila…See, I believe that as an actor, your heart has to be like iron or steel. Woh agar nahi haina, toh then you cannot survive. Like I was telling you, rejection is an actor’s best friend. You have to accept ki I have been rejected, rejection is different from failure. Rejection means you weren’t selected for this; that is all it means.”

Mimoh Compares Rejections In Life

He concluded, “Nobody likes rejections, like when a guy is rejected by a girl or when a guy chooses another girl over the girl, everything is rejection. When we don’t get the job offer, it’s a rejection, but that should not happen; it should teach you something. So for every audition, I go with that same energy, and I have gone to that same office multiple times for different projects. I’ve been called again, for the same project, 3 to 4 times. Umeed aati hai shayad yeh film miljaaye,but then kuch nahi hota.”

He concluded, “Even today, I go for auditions. Khakee has not changed anything; it’s a part of life. Because when you audition, the director and producer can see if you fit the character. Just because I am Mimoh doesn’t mean I will suit every character. I cannot play something else that I am not. I can play Himel Majumdar, which is why I got the role.”
