EXCLUSIVE: Munawar Faruqui LOVES Being Called Shah Rukh Khan’s First Copy; Says, “Mujhe Koi Problem Nahi Hai”

Comedian and reality TV star Munawar Faruqui created headlines by winning the title of Bigg Boss Season 17. Now he is all set for her OTT debut with the series First Copy. Munawar expressed his love for being compared to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and shared that he doesn’t mind, and in fact enjoys, being called Shah Rukh Khan’s first copy.

Munawar Faruqui Wants To Be Called SRK’s First Copy

Munawar has carved out his own identity in the world of comedy and television, his admiration for SRK clearly runs deep. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, when question about whose first copy you would like to be compared to and not feel bad about it. To which Munawar said, “Mujhe koi compare agar kisi ke saath karna chaiye. Mujhe koi problem nahi hai koi mujhe Shah Rukh Khan se compare kare. Ofcourse mujhe bhi aacha lagega.”

Krystle Dsouza added, “Mujhe bhi koi Shah Rukh Khan ke sath compare kar le, mujhe bhi koi problem nahi hai..”

“Mine is Alia Bhatt”, Ashi Singh revealed.

Munawar’s connection to Shah Rukh Khan seems to be a mix of inspiration, influence, and fan love.

About First Copy

On the work front, Munawar will be making his debut with the show First Copy. First Copy follows the stories of the 90s, set in Mumbai, a struggling young man joins a film production company but turns to video piracy after facing workplace humiliation. As his illegal empire grows, a determined cop closes in on the operation. The series stars Munawar Faruqui, Gulshan Grover, Meiyang Chang, Saqib Ayub, Krystle D’Souza, Inaamulhaq, Ashi Singh. It has 10 episodes and started streaming on June 20.
