EXCLUSIVE: Naveen Kasturia Calls Out Bollywood’s Hierarchy System; Reveals, “Seniors Disrespecting Crew Members, Galat Tareeke Se Baat Karta Hai”

Naveen Kasturia On Bollywood’s Hierarchy System

Talking about how the hierarchy system affects Bollywood, Naveen Kasturia reveal that seniors misbehave with juniors. He elaborated, “Kabhi kabar film sets pe aisa hota hai ki jo bohot senior position pe aadmi hai voh crew member se bahut galat tareeke se baat karta hai. Ab voh India ka hi problem hai, mujhe aisa lagta hai. Kai baar Bombay mein agar aap dekho, toh aap society mein ghuste ho aur aapka guard khada hojata hai, yeh kya culture hai yaar? Matlab guard is there to do his job, but yeh kya ho raha hai?”

He further added, “Fir mujhe aisa lagta hai ki aisa hua hoga shuruwaat mein ki koi bahut gusse wali aunty ne offence le liya hoga unhone woh andar gayi hogi, guard khada nahi hua hoga toh daant padh gayi hogi usko aur tabse fir yhh society mein cheez daal di gayi hai ki khada hona important hai. Aap samajh rahe ho, mein kya kahe raha hu? Basic level pe hi respect hum sabko nahi dete hai. Kai baar humko lagta hai ki koi humse kam paisa kama raha hai, hum usse galat tareeke se baat karte hai. Toh yeh toh desh ka hi problem hai.”

Naveen Shares Incidents On Sets

The Pitchers fame said, “Aur yeh shoot pe kaafi baar, ikhatta hai aapko kyunki waha sab ek hi sath ek hi cheez pe kaam rahe hai. Aur yehi log jab bahar shoot karne jaate hai toh unhe dikh jata hai ki bahar ke junior artist se aap aise baat nahi kar sakte hai, bahar ke crew members se aap aise baat nahi kar sakte. Kyunki waha sabki respect hai, voh bhi aapko nahi samajhte, koi ‘ji huzoori wala culture’ nahi hai.”

Concluding, he said, “Kisi ne baat kari thi ki waha feudalism wali cheez nahi hai ki yeh bada hai, yeh chota hai, bada chota bohot karte hai India mein. Aur voh film set pe dikhta hai aapko aur mere khayaal se kisi ka bhi haq nahi hai kisi se galat tareeke se baat karne ka, chilaake baat karne ka, gaali dene ka. Aur voh film sets pe bahut hota hai aur voh bahut galat hai. I think ek basic level pe sabki respect honi chahiye.”
