The TVF Pitchers 1 & 2 lead actor, Naveen Kasturia, revealed why the second season was not a success. He began his journey as an assistant director in Bollywood. He has worked in Mithiya and Aspirants.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kasturia recalled the tremendous promotion they had to make for the second 2 of Pitchers. He recalled how the first season saw more organic attraction. Scroll down to read more.

Naveen Kasturia On Picthers 2 Failure

Speaking of how Pitchers 2 was not as good as the first one, Naveen Kasturia replied, “Actors toh saare same the. But at the end of the day, ki aap kya bana ahe ho, kya dikha rahe ho is more important. Writing is the most important thing. Main abhi recently South Bombay mein tha main. Ek hotel mein tha, wahan mujhe koi mila. Usne photo-voto khinchayi aur bola, ‘Sir, ek question, Pitchers 2 kab aayega?’ Maine kaha, ‘Arre Pitchers 2 toh yaar 2.5 saal pehle aa chuka hai!’ Toh hota hai aisa, you know, aur mujhe actually lagta tha ki usse zyada mera koi show promote nahi hua hai. Matlab jab Pitchers 2 ka promotion hua tha na, tab toh itna cluttered tha right? Tab bahut promote hua. Aur Pictures 1 ke liye toh koi promotion hi nahi hua tha. Bas organically thoda content daal diya tha. Isiliye main khud bhi aksar sochta rehta hoon, yeh marketing aur promotion kitna helpful hota hai actually?”

Naveen Kasturia Says Good Work Needs Buzz For Recognition

Talking about the ROI of Picthers 2, promoting and marketing, the lead actor said, “Aur ek wajah yeh bhi thi ki tab space itna cluttered nahi tha. Internet itna phaila nahi tha. YouTube naya-naya tha. TVF bhi tabhi apna brand build kar raha tha. Of course, show bhi bahut accha tha. Phir Pitchers 2 aaya toh crowd already bahut tha. Ab toh accha kaam karne ke liye bhi bahut zyada shor machana padta hai, shayad tabhi logon ko dikhe.”
