Niharica Raizada Mercy

Medical scientist and Bollywood actor Niharica Raizada, known for her work in films like IB71, Total Dhamaal, and Sooryavanshi among many others, is now stepping into a powerful new space with Mercy. The film brings forth a strong, female-led narrative where Niharica breaks away from conventional glamour-driven roles to portray a character defined by emotional depth, resilience, and truth.

Niharica Raizada: Mercy Is Not About Looking Perfect, It’s About Embracing Imperfections

Niharica shares, “Mercy is not about looking perfect or fitting into a glamorous mould; it’s about embracing imperfections and finding strength within them. What truly drew me to this film was how real and layered the character is, she is not someone who is flawless, but someone who is constantly evolving, breaking, and rebuilding herself. That journey felt incredibly honest to me as an actor and as a person.”

She says, “As actors, especially women, we often find ourselves being put into certain boxes where appearances sometimes take precedence over substance. With Mercy, I was given the opportunity to explore emotions that are raw and unfiltered. It allowed me to step beyond the surface and truly understand the psyche of a woman who is navigating her own battles with courage and vulnerability.”

Niharica: Stories Like Mercy Remind Us That Strength Doesn’t Always Have To Be Loud Or Aggressive

She further reveals, “There were moments during the shoot where I had to really disconnect from everything around me and dive deep into the emotional core of the character. It was challenging because it demanded complete honesty, but at the same time, it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. Stories like Mercy remind us that strength doesn’t always have to be loud or aggressive it can be quiet, resilient, and deeply internal.”

She adds, “For me, Mercy stands for authenticity. It’s about breaking the idea that women need to fit into a certain glamorous image to be seen or heard. There is immense power in being real, in showing your scars, and in owning your truth. I feel proud to be part of a story that celebrates that strength in such a nuanced way.”

She concludes, “I truly hope that when audiences watch Mercy, they connect with the emotions and the journey of the character. If even a small part of it resonates and makes someone feel seen or understood, I think we have achieved something meaningful. For me, true beauty lies in resilience, honesty, and the courage to keep going despite everything.”
