Actor Prateik Smita Patil opened up about a difficult phase in his life after his marriage with filmmaker Sanya Sagar ended. Reflecting on that time, he revealed that he began following nearly 1000 pretty women on Instagram as a way to distract himself and cope with the emotional pain.
Prateik Smita Patil: ‘Ladies Beware The Beast Is Unleased’
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Prateik shared that while it seemed light-hearted, it actually came from a place of vengeance. He said, “I had a failed marriage and because of that I was so adamant about love I was it was a huge mental block after whatever I went through and it was just I had made up my mind that it was never an option. Love and marriage were never an option. I gave it my all and I stepped up to the role that I had to play no matter how life threw at me I wanted to be the best partner. I gave it my all but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I was extremely bitter about love and marriage.”
He also talked about finding love again in Priya Banerjee and stated that their love story started during lockdown. He added, “Lockdown ka pyaar hai ye, humari shaadi pakki ho gayi. It happened so organically that I was very angry at my situation and out of vengeance I ended up following 1000 pretty women on Instagram. I was so good in my marriage and why did this happen to me, ab data hu mei, now ladies beware. It was Ladies Vs Prateik. I was like ladies beware the beast is unleashed. That was my mindset.”

However, they separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in January 2023.
