Rahul Dev Admits Doing Bigg Boss 10 To Mainly Fund His Son’s Education

When asked about whether the actor did Bigg Boss purely to be able to fund his son’s studies, Rahul replied, “Dekhiye, darasal agar main uss time analyse karoon, ek interview ne poochha, aur aapne kuch bol diya. Theek hai. Kabhi-kabhi answers spontaneous hote hain. Ji. Hai na? I’m not saying ki paise ki zarurat nahi thi, 100% thi. Kyunki uss waqt jaise maine bataya, parent-teacher meetings mein jab main analyse karta tha ki mujhe aur kya accha lagta hai… toh acting toh thi nahi.”

“Agar main bolun mujhe exercise acchi lagti hai, sabko pata hai. Like, if you see Champion also, or ads before that..six-pack apne aap nahi ban jaata na. Koi ragda-patti karega. No steroids ever, nothing. Absolutely clean. Aur main North India se hoon, yaar, toh Punjabi log toh khane peene ke shaukeen hote hi hain. Main bhi hoon, bohot khata hoon ulta-seedha. Phir strict bhi ho jaata hoon. Sab karta hoon main.“, he further stated.

Opening up about his insecurity, Rahul Dev said, “Par un PTMs mein lagta tha ki yaar, inke parents kaam kar rahe hain, ya jo husbands hain wo kaam pe hain, aur auratein bhi kaam pe jaati hain. Jo dono kaam kar rahe hain. Whatever the case might be, it would give me a sense of insecurity. What am I doing? I had a very, very lucrative career in movies. I gave that up to pursue… and I’m doing nothing yaar, I’m doing parenting.”

Rahul Dev’s son is Siddharth Dev. He raised Siddharth as a single father after his wife, Rina, passed away from cancer in 2009.
