Rajat Bedi Breaks Silence On Rakesh-Hrithik Roshan’s Koi Mil Gaya Row

When asked about his controversy with Hrithik-Rakesh Roshan, Rajat Bedi said, “No, so yeh articles are bahut galat way mein le liye gaye hain, and I’m feeling very bad. Kyunki woh articles 2016-17 mein aaye the, jab maine Mukesh Khanna ka interview kiya tha. And kyunki now again mere saath yeh film hua hai, matlab Aryan Khan ke saath, my comeback has happened, those have resurfaced again. Okay, and it has definitely, like, probably hurt. Rakesh ji aur Hrithik ke Rajat ne aisi kyun baat ki hai?”

He added, “Toh maine kabhi aisi baatein nahi ki hain. Mukesh ji wanted to know about my journey, ki ‘Tu Canada kyun chala gaya tha, industry chhod ke?’ So, there were certain setbacks and financial issues in my life, jiski wajah se main Canada chala gaya tha. But they converted that and accused Rakesh Roshan and others of destroying my career, which is very wrong, very unethical.”

Speaking about whether he ever spoke to Mukesh Khanna, Rajat said, “Nahi, maine baat hi nahi ki. Maine unke saath bas baat karna chhod di. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. There is a huge respect for Mukesh ji, kyunki woh mere papa ke time ke hain. And my papa was going to introduce him into the industry, Mukesh Khanna ko. So, that respect-wise, I went and did the interview. But it was in very bad taste, kyunki ek Mukesh ji ka interview utha ke, doosre logon ne bhi copy-paste karna start kar diya. And main iske through bhi.”

Rajat: Mera Go Back Mat Kijiye

Concluding, he said, “Main darshakon ko aur media walon ko specially vinati karta hoon, request karta hoon, please aap humare interviews se controversies mat create kijiye, taaki aapko views mile. You know, aap kahin na kahin mujhe harm kar rahe ho, mere parivaar ko harm kar rahe ho, meri rozi-roti ko harm kar rahe ho, aur maybe doosron ko dukh de rahe ho. Abhi haal hi mein, kisi ne Salman bhai ke saath controversy start kar li, kabhi Govinda ke saath controversy start kar li, kabhi Rajesh Khanna ke family ke saath start kar li. But you know, please, mujhe spare ki jiye. Mera abhi comeback hua hai. Mera go back mat kijiye, kyunki I’m not here to hurt people. I’m here to work. I want to work. Aur agar aap chahte ho ki main aur kaam karun, please mujhe pyaar dijiye aur mujhe hurt nahi kijiye by creating controversies.”

About Rajat-Roshan’s Controversy

The controversy involving actor Rajat Bedi and the Roshan family stemmed from misunderstood comments Bedi made in a 2023 interview, where he expressed disappointment about being excluded from promotions and scenes in the film Koi Mil Gaya. These comments were exaggerated by Mukesh Khanna, who suggested Bedi’s issues were due to Rakesh Roshan, leading to false rumours of a feud.

However, in recent interviews in October 2025, Bedi clarified that there is no animosity with Rakesh Roshan or Hrithik Roshan. He stated that Roshan was helpful and respectful, and revealed he had recent contact with Rakesh Roshan, disproving any long-standing conflict. Bedi also apologised for the misunderstanding and emphasised that there is no bad blood.
