EXCLUSIVE: Rajat Bedi All Set To Reunite With Akshay Kumar 27 Years After International Khiladi In Bhagam Bhag 2

Directed by Priyadarshan and written by Neeraj Vora, the 2006 comedy thriller, Bhagam Bhag, surely made us laugh while also getting us to sit on the edge of our seat during tense sequences. While the film gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, a couple of month ago its sequel – Bhagam Bhag 2, was announced. The upcoming comedy will see Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal return to the franchise with reports of Manoj Bajpayee replacing Govinda also doing the rounds.

While fans excitedly wait for more news about this film, Bollywood Bubble has EXCLSUVIELY learnt of a new actor joining the cast. A little birdie has informed us that actor Rajat Bedi – who won hearts with his performance in Ba***ds of Bollywood, has also joined the cast. As per our source, Rajat Bedi is all set to join the cast of director Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Bhagam Bhag 2. Our insider informed us that 90% of the formalities involved in the casting have been completed. They informed us that the makers found Rajat apt choice for one of their pivotal characters in the comedy.

Akshay Kumar and Rajat Bedi were last seen together in the 1999 action drama, International Khiladi.

As per reports, the sequel – directed by Raaj Shaadilyaa, aims to maintain the frenetic energy of the original Priyadarshan classic while introducing a fresh narrative layer. The narrative is expected to revolve around the familiar tropes of mistaken identities and escalating chaos, ensuring that the ‘spirit of the original’ remains intact even as the faces change.

The upcoming comedy will stars actors such as Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Bajpayee and actress Meenakshi Chaudhary – who will be returning to the Hindi cinema after the 2019 film Upstarts. As per reports, Chaudhary is paired opposite Kumar and the search for a leading lady to star opposite Bajpayee is still underway.
