He explained how sensationalism has become a business model, saying, “Ye masala hai, jispe aapka dhandha chalta hai, aap bechte hai isko. Agar ye sab masala na daala jaaye aur sabko ek bhaav mein rakhe toh woh kaise bikega?”

He further pointed out how even the smallest issues are magnified for attention, adding, “Spice toh chahiye na life mein. Aur woh spice aap log hi create karte hai, itni si baat hoti hai aur usko itna bada bana ke aap pesh karte hai.” Drawing from past examples, he remarked how even sensitive situations get turned into breaking news, “Chahe woh koi bhi baat ho, Dharam ji ki maut ho lekar… usko hype diya gaya, live dikhaya jaa raha hai.”

Calling such moments a “cash crop,” he stated, “Wo moment bechna hai, kaun pehle kaatega fasal, wo ladai chal rahi hai.” However, Chawla also urged actors not to lose sleep over it, concluding, “Ispe na toh actors ko dhyaan dene ki zarurat hai, wo apni roti kama rahe hai, aap apni roti kamao.”

Speaking specifically about paparazzi culture in India, the actor stressed the need for restraint and balance. He shared, “Thoda rukna hoga, thoda zyada ho gaya. Thoda apni seemaon mein, apne culture mein rahe.” While he welcomed learning new ways, he added, “Naya kuch seekhna humesha welcome hai, but thoda.”

Rajendra Chawla Recalls Working With Amitabh Bachchan

On a more reflective note, Rajendra Chawla fondly recalled his interaction with Amitabh Bachchan during a Manyavar advertisement. Expressing deep admiration, he said, “Main unko idol isiliye maanta hu kyunki 82 saal hone ke bawajood, itni bimariyon ke saath bhi unki bhook khatam nahi ho rahi.” He went on to praise Bachchan’s relentless dedication, “Naam, paisa, shohrat, role, acting—sab prove kar chuke hai. Ab kya proof karna baaki hai?”

Yet, what moves him the most is Bachchan’s spirit. “Lade jaa rahe hai… kehte hai mera ant bhi ho toh yahi ho,” Chawla shared, highlighting the legend’s unmatched commitment to his craft.
