EXCLUSIVE: Rakhi Sawant Recalls Washing Utensils At Ambani’s Wedding As A Child; Reveals, “Mujhe Per Day Rs 1 Milta Tha”

Rakhi Sawant Recalls Washing Utensils At Ambani Family’s Wedding

When asked about the time she used to use dishes at the Ambani family’s wedding, Rakhi Sawant said, “Aaj mujhe Ambani log kyu nahi bulaate, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Nita Ambani, kyunki unki shaadiyon mein main catering classes ke through khaana parosti thi, aur unki shaadiyon mein platein dhohti thi. Mujhe per day Rs 1 milta tha.”

Rakhi Shares Her Journey

The actress shared, “Actually, hua kya tha na, hum bahut gareeb the. Bahut hi chawl type zindagi thi, matlab meri maa toh eent pe khaana banati thi. Toh aados-pados wale bolte the, ‘Arre catering class mein chalo, tumhare bachche toh abhi chhote hain.’ Main tab sirf 8 saal ki thi. Woh bolte the, ‘Tumhari betiyon ko bhi bhejo.’ Meri maa dekhti thi ki unki betiyan paisa kama ke laati hain, fir unke ghar mein accha khaana aata hai. Maa poochti thi, ‘Tumhare ghar mein itna accha khaana kahan se aata hai?’ Woh bolte the, ‘Hum catering classes mein kaam karte hain. Tumhari do-do betiyan hain, unko bhejo. Din ka Rs 50, kabhi Rs 100 bhi milta hai, aur khaana alag.'”

She added, “Main toh unki shaadiyon mein mithaiyaan chhupa ke laati thi, ek white colour ke napkin mein. Humne toh kabhi mithaiyaan dekhi bhi nahi thi. Aur unke bartan dho kar aati thi. Bahut saari aisi ladkiyaan hain mere jaise, croreon gareeb ladkiyaan jo chhote-chhote kaam karke aage badhi hain. Par woh jazba raha mujh mein. Kisko pata tha ki woh chhoti si Rakhi, aaj ‘Rakhi Sawant’ ban jaayegi?”

Rakhi On Her Success Today

Concluding the Bigg Boss fame said, “Agar maine thokarein nahi khaayi hoti, dar-dar ki, toh aaj main kahan se queen hoti? Agar main bachpan se hi Ambani family ki bahu-beti hoti, toh mere haathon ke neeche 100 naukar hote, aur mujhe kisi cheez ki kadar hi nahi hoti. Bilkul employees hote mere neeche, but mujhe har gareeb ki har cheez ki kadar hai aur unko bhi hai. No doubt, I respect them. Isiliye toh Ambani ji poori duniya ko bulaate hain, mujhe nahi bulaate. Kyunki unki shaadiyon mein maine kaam kiya hai. But unko mujhe chhota feel nahi karana chahiye, bilkul nahi. Aur zyada se zyada jaake main unki shaadi mein kya kar lungi? Rabdi kha lungi? Rasmalai kha lungi? Zyada se zyada dhol pe dance hi toh kar lungi!”

While she has not specifically mentioned washing utensils until now, she described her role as a waitress, attending to guests and serving food. Sawant frequently talks about her tough upbringing in a conservative, impoverished family living in a chawl (tenement), highlighting her journey from hardship to fame.
