The drama surrounding MTV Splitsvilla X6 continues to spill beyond the screen. Especially when it comes to Ron Kariappa and his equation with his connection on the show Asmita Adhikari, one that many viewers rooted for. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ron opened up about the ongoing situation, his decision to stay away from social media clarifications, and why he refuses to engage in online narratives. Read on to know what he said.
Ron Kariappa BASHES ‘Other Kids’ From The Splistvilla X6 For Going Live On Social Media To Prove Their Side
Talking about why he doesn’t go on Instagram Live to clarify his side of the story, Ron Kariappa explained that the timeline itself makes it unnecessary. He said, “We finish shooting by December end Okay. What you see contestants doing right now is picking up stories from 3 months prior.”
He further emphasised that he prefers to move on once a project ends, instead of revisiting it repeatedly online. “I’m sorry. My life is very good. I have a lot of things happening right now. I put my mind into other projects. For me, it’s a project-based kind of schedule, right? You do one project, you put your heart and soul into it. Once you’re done with it, you continue. Let that do whatever it’s doing. Now, what is our job? As a person who’s done a reality show as well, what is my job?”
Ron Kariappa: I Am Not Afraid Of Audience Shaming Me
According to Ron, the audience should form their own opinions based on what they see on screen, rather than through post-show explanations. He said, “Let it play on the TV. Let the audience have their opinion about what it is. I am not afraid of the audience shaming me. That is the thing that most people don’t realize. I am not afraid of you calling me an a**hole, because I know by the end of the show. I have shown you exactly what kind of a person I am.”
He then took a clear dig at fellow contestants who frequently go live to justify their actions and shape public perception. “But then, there are, of course, there are other people who are so worried about the narrative and the construction of how exactly your personality is that they have to come on live. They have to come on Instagram, they have to talk to their audience. They have to engage and keep them in that bubble of ki ‘main accha hu’, ‘main accha banda hu’, ‘maine ye kiya hai’, ‘maine ye soch ke kiya hai’, kuch nahi bolunga main. I did what I had to. I said, end number of times, what my experience was, and I told them I have told everyone honestly what it is and how it has been for me.”

Ron also made it clear that while he has given his all during the show, he draws the line at promoting conflicts for attention. “Now if you sit and think about this idea of okay what has happened or what what we could have done with this or what could have been better or what this and that of course we always always have these thoughts world but I’m done I’ve chosen to you know put my effort and time and space into this blood sweat and tears as much as I might say because the task used to bring out blood out of us believe it or not so blood sweat tears everything’s gone into this 40 days of a schedule I have put my heart and soul into this but I am not going to put my heart and soul into promoting fights.”
Wrapping up his stance, he reiterated that he will only support the show and the efforts of his co-contestants, but not the controversies. “I will promote my show, I will promote the fact that I’ve been on the show. I will promote the fact that the ‘other kids’ on the show have also done a good job. But I will not promote the fact ki isne mere baare me aise kiya hai, usne mere baare me ye kiya, woh kiya hai, toh mujhe bura laga hai, No, not my thing.”
