Sagar Parekh, who has won hearts for his versatile performances and impressive journey in Indian television, shared his thoughts on why Republic Day holds a special place in his life. The actor, admired for his dedication and screen presence, reflected on how this national celebration has influenced him personally and professionally.
Sagar Parekh Shares Republic Day Memories
Speaking about his childhood memories, Sagar said, “Republic Day has always meant a lot to me because it reminds me of who we are as a nation and the values that we stand for, which are equality and freedom. While growing up, it was not just a holiday. I clearly remember attending school assemblies, wearing a crisp white uniform, hoisting the tricolour, singing patriotic songs, and watching the Republic Day parade on TV with my family. Those moments filled us with pride and a sense of belonging. Even as a child, I understood that this day wasn’t just about celebration but also about respecting the Constitution and the sacrifices that built our country into what it is today.”
On how his understanding of Republic Day has changed over the years, Sagar added, “As I’ve grown older, Republic Day feels deeper and more meaningful. It reminds me of the duties we carry as citizens, not just our rights. As an actor, storytelling has the power to influence and preserve culture. Being part of stories rooted in India—showing its emotions, struggles, and traditions—is extremely important to me. Our stories reflect our identity, and contributing to narratives that honour India’s true spirit makes me feel proud and grateful.”
Sagar Parekh’s thoughtful reflections on Republic Day highlight not only his patriotic spirit but also his commitment to meaningful storytelling on screen. On the career front, his hit show Jagriti recently ended, and fans are eagerly waiting to see him make a grand television comeback. However, the talented actor is taking his own sweet time to return to the screens with a bang.
