Sais Tamhankar Clarifies Her Bikini Shoot
When asked about her wearing a bikini during a shoot, and how people reacted to that, Sai Tamhankar answered, “I think so. I think pehle aise nahi hota tha, isiliye hum bolte hain, because no one had even tried before. Agar meri jagah koi aur try karta, they would have been accepted too, just like I was. My fans were flabbergasted. They were surprised—I hope pleasantly surprised.”

She added, “And for me, it was like—if a character is swimming, she would swim in a swimsuit, right? I mean, it was that simple for me. Par logon ke liye it was a bold move, and it was a move. For me, it was just a part of something I was doing. But I’m glad it happened. I think somebody had to, you know, go and open that door—and open that door for other people also who want to attempt, or who have been trying, or who want to do this. So I’m really glad I did it.”
