Saiyami Kher Weighs In On 2025 Miss Universe Controversy

When asked her views on Miss Universe 2025 contestants walking out of a pre-pageant event following Thai pageant director Nawat Itsaragrisil publicly chastising Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch, the actress, said, “I’m unaware of what happened.”

When briefly briefed about the situation and asked what she thinks of about the many beauty queens walking and taking a stand, Saiyami Kher replied, “Well the people who called this gentleman to judge should be questioned because why are you getting people with these kind of credentials who and he’s there to judge a beauty contest nobody asked him for opinions like this.”

The ‘Ghoomer’ continued, “I feel that… Just the way people are so negative. I just find it ridiculous that we’re just getting so toxic and so negative in general. And I feel that it’s incredible that the girls walked out if that’s what happened. And again, unaware of the situation, but if the girls did support this girl and they walked out, it speaks of how we are moving forward with regards to supporting people for what they should be supported for. So I feel it’s incredible if that happens. And I hope the gentleman was made to apologise also.”

When informed that he apologised soon after the issue blew up on social media, she added, “Well, never too late as long as he’s apologised. And he means the apology.”
