Talking about the current success of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Shakti Anand shared how the narrative has evolved with time while staying true to its soul. He said, “Ab naya leap hua toh kai cheeze badli gayi hai, naye characters ko introduce kiya hai, purane characters change hue hai, in a positive way everything is working, it is becoming number 1 show.”

Reflecting on the larger trend of old shows making comebacks and the challenges that come with it, Shakti explained how the television landscape has dramatically changed over the years. He shared, “Pehle shows aate the 6 mahine, 8 mahine mein ek show, aaj ki date mein ek mahine mein 10 show aate hai, abhi bombard ho gaya hai, shows bohot zyada aane lage hai, bohot zyada audience ko ek opportunity mil gayi hai apne remote se change karne ki, there are so many channels coming into picture.”

Highlighting why surviving and thriving in today’s crowded space is a big achievement, the actor added, “Toh aise mein kisi show ka chalna, aise mein kisi show ka relatable hona becomes a very big thing, bohot ek achivement maani jaati hai aaj ke time mein, ki ye show chal gaya kyuki pichle saalo mein kuch hi shows hai jinhone audience ko pakda hai.”

Shakti Anand: Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Aaj Bhi Number 1 Hai

Shakti further pointed out that while several classic shows have returned, not all managed to recreate their original magic. Emphasising what set Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 apart, he said, “Original shows bhi kayi wapas aaye hai lekin second season nahi chale hai. Lekin kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi ka second season bhi aaj number 1 pe hai, joh aaj se 20-25 saal pehle tha number 1.”

Opening up about the emotional connect that played a key role in its success, Shakti concluded, “Original cast ka sabka ek saath mein aana, unka amalgamation to the new cast, story line waise ka waise nahi daala hai ki purani story ko us tarah se laya gaya hai, taking bohot alag hoyi toh is sab cheezo ka saath mein aana, toh in sab cheezo ko saath mein aana audience ko us baat ko accept karna i think that is something really big.”
