EXCLUSIVE: Srinidhi Shetty Gets Honest On Why She’s Choosy About Her Films; Says, “It’s Not That I’m Sitting On A Pile Of Money…”

​Srinidhi Shetty is an Indian actress and model who gained prominence after winning the Miss Supranational 2016 title, becoming the second Indian to achieve this honor. She made her acting debut in the Kannada blockbuster K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) and reprised her role in its sequel, K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022). In 2022, she ventured into Tamil cinema with the film Cobra. In 2025, she made her Telugu debut alongside Nani in HIT: The Third Case, portraying the character Mrudula. Srinidhi is also set to appear in the upcoming Telugu romantic drama Telusu Kada, directed by Neeraja Kona. In an exclusive chat, Srinidhi reveals what she acts for.

Srinidhi Shetty On Why She Acts

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Srinidhi Shetty shares why she chose to act. She says, “I think there are a lot of strings attached to this. What you said is also true, and it really depends on the individual and their approach.”

She added, “One person might say, “I just need to do as many movies as possible,” and that works for them. For someone else, it might be about the money — and there’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their own way of looking at things. Someone might think, “I have five good years, and I want to earn as much as I can during this time,” so they take up everything that comes their way. Others might just follow their heart and do only what feels right to them.”

She continued, “I fall into the third category. I take my time. And with all due humility — not that I’m sitting on a pile of money and everything is sorted — no, not at all. Things are tempting. But still, I choose to work at my own pace, and that’s okay.”

She further said, “I haven’t made movies my entire life. I clearly understand that filmmaking is only part of my life, not all of it. I don’t let it consume me. Also I have a different life too — I have my family, and I value my own personal, quiet, isolated space.”

She concluded with, “That’s why it’s easy for me to draw boundaries, choose what I want to do, and only take it up if it makes me happy. Because honestly, there’s no point in living a life if you’re not doing it joyfully.”

Srinidhi Shetty’s Recent Projects

Srinidhi Shetty, best known for her role in the KGF franchise, is steadily expanding her footprint across Indian cinema. She recently made her Telugu debut in HIT: The Third Case (2025) alongside Nani, where she played the role of Mrudula. She is also part of the upcoming romantic drama Telusu Kada, directed by Neeraja Kona, and has signed on for the Kannada film Kichcha 47 opposite Sudeep. With each project, Srinidhi continues to showcase her versatility and charm across multiple film industries.
