Sudhanshu Pandey on experimenting with comedy role
When asked about his stint in the show and entering comedy space, the Anupamaa actor says, “Everybody is thinking it’s a new beginning, but it’s a very beautiful breakaway I would say. It’s it’s a special appearance of only two episodes, and I’m doing a very beautiful story in this show.”
When asked about the importance of experimenting in an actor’s life, Sudhanshu stated, “From the beginning, I’ve been always experimenting with my characters. I shot my first feature film, Khiladi 420 with Akshay Kumar in 1999. So from there to now I have played innumerable characters. I have done all sorts of cinema be it Tamil, Hollywood or Punjabi film. I’ve been playing so many different characters everywhere. I think it’s a blessing for me because as an actor as I’m always very hungry to do new stuff. In this show also I’m playing a rock star and carrying a look which I’ve never really had on screen. I have earlier done Comedy in Singh is Kingg. I was a Sardar in that film and had different look and this is now different.”
Sudhanshu On Long Working Hours in Television
We further asked actor about the long working hours in television and how hectic does it turn out to be. To this, he says, “Pehle itna hectic nahi hota tha. Ab hogaya hai. Now it is crazy. And especially on television it is phenomenally crazy. There’s always a race against time. OTT is also hectic because now everybody has cut their budgets down and everybody has to keep their products within a stipulated time. I think it’s the films only where you don’t really race against time because supposed to be released and not telecasted. That difference is always going to be there.”
When asked about maximum hours he shot and how taxing it was, Sudhanshu stated “I have shot for 18 hours at a stretch. It is slightly taxing in the longer run. But, having said that, if you’re enjoying, doing what you’re doing, then no amount of fatigue can really disturb you or distract you from what you’re doing.”
On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Karan Johar hosted reality show The Traitors On Amazon Prime Video.
