Sudhanshu Pandey Calls Out Actors Like Khushi Mukherjee For Social Media Fame
When asked about the things people do in the name of paid PR, social media followers, and pap culture today, Sudhanshu Pandey said, “I think it’s a double-edged sword—it’s always going to be like that. There’s yin and yang in everything. There’s black and white in everything. Nothing is ever truly one-sided. So, the media attack that we all see, right? There are parts of it that are really, really good and very important because the media is important for everyone. We can’t do without the media. And some media actually does a great job.”
He added, “Like you are doing a fantastic job, right? You’re interviewing me, you’re talking to people, and you’re, you know, taking this content and reaching it out to people who actually want to watch it. There is a certain section that is glorifying this really shitty stuff that’s out there on social media. And that glorification, I think, is in very bad taste. I feel it’s a curse on society, because I see women going half or nearly nude, and then they’re going through so many issues. They’re trying to cover themselves, this and that, constantly holding on and adjusting. Why do you have to wear something that’s so uncomfortable? I don’t understand the logic, you know?”
Concluding the actor, “And it’s not like when they speak about it, it’s anything enlightening. Their speech, the way they talk—it’s equally ugly. It’s equally disturbing. So, there’s nothing good coming out of that. And the media is still glorifying it. I don’t understand why they would want to do that. I guess because it’s paid, like you said. Yeah, maybe that certain section of the media is doing it because it’s their bread and butter. So I can’t really say anything to that. It’s up to the so-called influencers who are trying to create news by doing such things. If they fix themselves, everything gets fixed. Otherwise, I guess, you just can’t stop it.”
